Stone house in a village near the seaside, re-designed by an architect
Frédérique and Franck discover the Gard during a family wedding. The good weather, the landscape, the seaside not far, seduce them. So, they start looking for a “charming” house… Old stone but modern equipment, interior patio with a little swimming pool, that was enough to charm them.
This stone house is located in the center of the village of Calvisson, in Vaunage in the Gard. The house offers 163m², a, interior patio with its pool, 1 garage and 1 cellar.
The house has been completely redesigned by an architect, Benoit Gillet. It is his “pencil stroke” who seduced Frédérique and Franck: “to create something new with with an old vineyard house”. The stone walls have been preserved, and the interior has been completely rebuilt.
The house, offers 3 levels, and the circulation goes around the interior patio, and its wooden terraces. The top floor has wonderfull views espacially on the mills. The main rooms are on the 1st floor and its interior “patio”: The kitchen (and its adjoining technical room), the dining area, the living room, and a bedroom with its shower room. Each room as a direct acces to the patio. On the top floor you will find 2 other bedrooms with their bathroom and direct access to the outdoor terraces.
The house is also equipped with a car garage, and a cellar.
This house is 15mns by car from Sommières, 30mns from Nîmes, and 35mns from the seaside.
Our favorite for the interior patio, the master piece of the house. How easy to go around it !
