Spinning Mill, Ground floor with updated terrace in the middle of Nimes
City center two steps away!
This apartment, 107 m2 with a landscaped terrace, 45m2, is the fruit of the division of a former spinning factory into 6 residences in co-ownership.
The volumes, luminosity and the choice of materials caught the attention of Nathalie and Gilles, world-wide travellers, who decided to set down their rucksacks for a while in Nimes. Arriving from the Reunion it was unthinkable for them to choose somewhere ordinary. The old mill, loaded down with history had been restructured and divided into several dwellings, was an obvious choice because “out of the ordinary”!
The decision to create a quirky place to live in, led to the factory being transformed into a ground floor flat retaining the full ceiling height and giving directly out onto its own ‘greenspace’ creating the impression of living in a town house.
The main room is large (45m2, includes sitting room, dining area, kitchen and back kitchen). It opens onto a terrace shaded by bamboos by way of 4 full height French windows. A real garden (12mx 3.75m) perfect for barbecues sunbathing and why not growing herbs, etc;
The flat contains a master suite to the south and 2 very bright north-facing bedrooms with dedicated bathroom.
The entrance to the condominium is secured by an interphone and an electric gate controls the entrance to the communal courtyard leading to the private parking area and covered box.
The perfect place for city-dwellers who wish to be near the center of town!
5 mins by bike to Place Severine (Nimes), bus stop for the less athletic 50 m down the road.
Our favorite for : To live in a flat but with the comfort of being on street level yet be in complete safety!
